In 2019 I returned to Iceland for another photography tour. It seems that once you are bitten by the Iceland bug it is difficult to resist its appeal. The vast open spaces, the amazing awe-inspiring scenery, the opportunity to stand and stare in wonder while trying to meet the challenge of capturing it all in a way that will not only provide you with a visual record of what you have seen, it will also help you show others the beauty of the places that you have visited.
This year we were privileged to see the Northern Lights on our first night and for me, Eystrahorn provided the other standout location from all those we visited. We also experienced a storm that closed the airport and visited Reynisfjara beach where we witnessed some amazing seas and saw the raw power of waves crashing onto the black sand.
